Dr Nicole Rous – Veterinarian & Director

Nicole graduated with Honours from the University of Sydney in 2008 and, after working in the UK, returned to small‑animal practice in Melbourne. She holds Membership in Animal Reproduction with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists and has a special interest in reproduction and complementary therapies that support long‑term wellbeing.
Nicole became Director of Mont Albert Veterinary Surgery in 2021 and is the founder of Shy Tiger and co‑founder of i-screenPets, developing natural health solutions and microbiome testing for pets.

Dr Priyal Sawjani – Veterinarian

Location: Mont Albert Veterinary Surgery

Originally from Kenya, Priyal graduated from the University of Nairobi in 2018. She enjoys the variety of general practice and has a strong interest in surgery and dentistry, helping pets maintain excellent oral health. Inspired by her own cats, Nala and Lilo, Priyal is dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for every patient.

Dr Libby Morton – Veterinarian

Location: Mont Albert Veterinary Surgery

Libby grew up on a sheep and cattle farm and graduated from the University of Queensland in 1999. After mixed practice in Gippsland and work in the UK, she has spent many years in small‑animal practice around Melbourne, enjoying all aspects of veterinary medicine. Outside work she’s often running along the Yarra Trail with her Border Terrier.

Dr Jane Harris – Veterinarian

Jane graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2001 and has worked in Australia and England. She blends conventional and complementary medicine to improve patient comfort and mobility, with further study in pain management, rehabilitation, and veterinary acupuncture.

Dr George Henien – Veterinarian

George brings experience in both equine medicine and small‑animal emergency care. Passionate about continuous learning, he enjoys keeping up with veterinary research to provide the highest standard of care. Outside work he loves hiking, travelling, and great coffee with his wife.

Dr Roslyn Atyeo – Veterinarian

Location: Mont Albert Veterinary Surgery

A graduate of Murdoch University, Roslyn has practised in Melbourne since 2000. She has advanced training in musculoskeletal medicine, acupuncture, biomechanical medicine, and rehabilitation therapy, integrating traditional and alternative approaches for comprehensive care.

John graduated in 2025 from the University of Melbourne.
He strives to provide better care, husbandry and treatment for all pets, great or small. He is especially passionate about exotic pocket pets and wildlife. He is a believer that learning never stops.
His spare time is mostly spent nurturing his young family.”

With over 10 years’ experience in small‑animal and emergency medicine, Hannah previously worked as a veterinary nurse for a decade before qualifying as a veterinarian. She is a member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Behavioural Medicine.

Dr Anaban Ghosh – Veterinarian

Anaban has worked for more than 10 years at Canterbury Veterinary Clinic & Hospital with a professional focus on orthopaedic surgery and emergency care. He holds postgraduate qualifications in surgery and is a Member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists.

Dr Efei – Veterinarian

Efei graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2022. After a year-long stint in a surgical internship, she is excited to return back to general practice. Driven by her deep passion for surgery and exceptional patient care, she finds great fulfillment in the precision and life-changing impact of surgical intervention.

Originally from Singapore, Efei is bilingual and is happy to help our mandarin-speaking community. When not at the gym, life is kept busy by her husband, Jonathan, and two beloved rescue cats, Alfie and Leia, who serve as a constant reminder of the special bond between pets and their families.

Dr Josepha Cox – Veterinarian

Dr Josepha graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2015 and focuses on diagnostic imaging, nutrition, and integrative medicine. She holds certification in natural animal nutrition and enjoys educating pet owners about diet and preventive care.

Laura transitioned from a career as an electrician to follow her passion for animals. She has completed Certificate II in Animal Studies and is working toward her Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing.

Liane Pringle

Liane joined in 2021 after emergency nursing experience and holds a Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing. She is pursuing further training in rehabilitation nursing and is passionate about preventive care.

Charlotte – Veterinary Nurse

Location: Canterbury Vet Clinic and Hospital

Charlotte grew up in England before relocating to Australia, where Charlotte has now lived for the past ten years. Charlotte began a career in hospitality, developing strong people skills and a solid work ethic, before discovering a passion for veterinary nursing. Charlotte went on to spend two years working in a feline-only clinic, gaining valuable experience in specialised cat care, before joining CVCH in January 2025. Charlotte is currently undertaking a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing to further develop skills and knowledge in the field. At home, Charlotte cares for a 9-year-old cat named Maggie, along with several fish.

Renee Traikos – Veterinary Nurse

Renee joined in 2024 after completing Cert III in Animal Care Services and plans to continue her veterinary nursing studies. Her lifelong love of animals drives her dedication to patient care.
